I'm fascinated by watching birds in flight. I find especially calming watching a single bird soaring through the air with only one goal in mind. Survival. Seems so simple. A bird in flight is completely free. I must admit I'm jealous. I photograph them, study the image, and then paint it. The hawk is a fierce creature who is balanced, and stoic. A total inspiration both artistically and personally.
